Bovine Ultrasound
Bovine ultrasound is a tool that’s used widely in dairy and beef herds nowadays in order to get cows having one calf every year. We perform pre breeding checks on cows to check to see if the ovaries and uterus is are in suitable conditions for breeding. This is useful to identify cows with cystic ovaries, cows with womb infections and cows that are cycling or not suitable for breeding for other reasons such a ovarian tumor or a mummified calf.
It is also very useful confirm pregnancy which can be done from 28 days after insemination and to confirm twins if cows are scanned in the first 3 months of gestation.
