Poor Performance

This can be associated with cows not going in calf, cows not milking well, young animals not meeting weight targets and general ill thrift in a herd. Underlying parasitic issues such as liver/rumen fluke and lung and gut worms can be reasons for poor thrift in a herd. These are usually the first things to be investigated when cattle are suffering from poor performance. Bloods, faecal samples and milk testing where applicable are usually the samples used to investigate poor performance.
